Pageant raises $10K for kids with cancer

Since 2006, the Miss North Ontario Regional Canada Scholarship Pageant has raised $346,000 for Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer

The Miss North Ontario Regional Canada Scholarship Pageant, held the the weekend of May 14-15, raised $10,000 for Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer.

Pageant delegates have been making yearly contributions to the charity since 2006 and have raised a total of $346,000.

The winners of the 2022 pageant are: Grace Webb (Dokis First Nation), judge’s choice for Northern Ontario ambassador for 2022; Grace Tilbury (Nickel Centre), first runnerup; Amelie Marcoux (Sault Ste. Marie), second runnerup; Josie Michaud (Ramore), third runnerup, and; Tia Nootchai (Sudbury), fourth runnerup.

The delegates participated in a weekend of workshops, activities and speakers and shared almost $10,000 in cash scholarships.
