Starting this September, you can use your smartphone to pay for short-term and daily parking at Cambrian College.

HotSpot is an app-based system that allows you to use your smartphone or tablet to purchase time in Cambrian’s parking lots.

HotSpot will send you notifications that your parking is about to expire, and allow you to instantly add time if you need it. You only pay for the time you actually need as the HotSpot system can credit your account for unused time.

HotSpot members pay $2/month or $20/year to access the service. You can also use your HotSpot membership to pay for parking in the municipal lots and parking meters in Greater Sudbury, another HotSpot partner.

The cost of parking will not change. Neither will the system for purchasing monthly or yearly passes.

Cambrian will continue to use the current parking kiosks in addition to HotSpot.
