The Dowling Leisure Centre area was filled with families on Saturday for the Onaping Falls Winter Carnival.

Activities were available throughout the area for the annual event, which is slated to continue on Sunday.
Sunday’s activities will begin with a pancake breakfast and kids curling at the Onaping Curling Club from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The following activities will also take lace:
Fourth Annual Ookpik Cardboard Box Derby, at 11 a.m., at the Levack Ski/Sledding Hill
Onaping Falls Nordics Ski Club x-country skiing and snowshoeing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Onaping Community Centre activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Quiet hour from 11 a.m. to noon, during which people with special needs are invited to enjoy the carnival in a calm atmosphere.
12-4 p.m. - Carnival games, face painting, free hot chocolate, vintage snowmachine show, cake walk, carnival trivia with Martha, human bowling with zorb balls, an art show with the Onaping Falls ARt Club and more.
1-3 p.m. - community bonfire
