The Royal Canadian Legion District H track meet was held at Laurentian University on Saturday, and is a qualifier for the Ontario Summer Games
Some of the region’s fastest kids were at the Laurentian University track on Saturday proving their mettle at the Royal Canadian Legion District H track meet.
Approximately 290 youth athletes from the region participated in the Ontario Summer Games qualifier , event chair Chris Peters said, adding that it was a stronger turnout than usual due to the inclusion of Ontario Fastest Kids.
Of Saturday’s participants, 90 youths (born in 2012 or later) were aiming to be named some of Ontario’s Fastest Kids , of whom only four were slated to proceed to the next round., to be held at the Toronto Track and Field Centre on July 20.
