Planned power interruption in Hanmer, Capreol areas Sept. 26

Parts of Greater Sudbury will be affected by a planned power interruption Sept. 26.

The power interruption will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., affecting all Greater Sudbury Hydro customers in Capreol, as well as many serviced by Hydro One in Hanmer and the Wahnapitae First Nation.

Hydro One will be doing scheduled maintenance and upgrades; the work will cause an outage for all 1,530 GSH customers in Capreol as well as nearly 1,500 Hydro One customers. 

Greater Sudbury Hydro will take advantage of the planned interruption to also do some necessary work.

Affected Greater Sudbury Hydro customers will be contacted via recorded telephone message. Customers are reminded it is their responsibility to ensure the contact information on their account is up to date.
