A joint investigation between Greater Sudbury Police and the Children's Aid Society is underway after a malnourished eight-month-old child was brought to hospital Thursday.

Further details are to be released by police later this week, according to Staff Sergeant David Linney.
?We have people to interview and warrants to serve before we make any comment,? he said Monday morning.
It has yet to be determined whether the child, which was living with its parents in the Flour Mill area, was starved or not, he said.

The police are investigating the possible criminal aspects of the case and the CAS is concerned with the safety of the child.
