The North Bay Police has released details on a sudden death investigation from earlier this week.

The North Bay Police say that officers responded to the scene of a sudden death when the body of an adult male was discovered in Chippewa Creek close to the Aubrey Street and Cassells Street intersection in North Bay on the morning of July 6.

The coroner attended the scene where police say 48-year-old Francois John Dean ISAAC of Sudbury was identified as the deceased.

An autopsy will be conducted on Friday to determine the cause of death.

North Bay Police advise the incident is not deemed suspicious.

North Bay Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Section and the local coroner's office are continuing the investigation.
