Power has been restored to the city's downtown core after an outage earlier this morning affecting more than 300 customers.

Greater Sudbury Utilities reported the outage at 7 a.m., and announced at 7:42 a.m. that power was back up.

A tweet from the utility said power was restored by re-routing power.

:Crew is working to repair a failed underground splice at Larch/Paris," the tweet added. "May be some momentary interruptions once splice is fixed as we go back to regular path of distribution."
