A number of partners have teamed up to ensure planters in downtown Sudbury are attractive. The program will enhance the physical image of Sudbury?s central business district, says Maureen Luoma, executive director of Sudbury Metro Centre. The partnership involves the City of Greater Sudbury, Inco Ltd. and Renaissance (Natural Designs and Accents).

Elements of the program include enhanced planting of materials year-round with seasonal themes to enhance beauty and function as well as easy maintenance and savings in long-term landscaping.

Inco will donate core samples as accents.

?This is a very exciting partnership for us,? said Luoma. ?With the design expertise of Renaissance, the accent ore samples from Inco and the enhanced four season planting from the city and downtown, this pilot project will not only enhance our downtown for our residents, but for tourists and visitors as well.?
