The Education Quality and Accountability Office has called off today's trial run of its new online high school literacy test after "widespread technical issues."
In an advisory issued via Twitter, EQAO says it is "disappointed in the outcome of this trial," and says it is issuing more information to directors of education across the province.
Today was supposed to be the first provincewide trial of a new online version of the annual test for Grade 10 students.
EQAO has said that if today's trial was not successful, students whose schools took part in the trial will still be able to write the regular test in March without penalty.
