The provincial government and the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines are hosting the World Mines Ministries Forum, an international mining conference in Toronto this weekend, promoting Ontario and the nickel capital, Greater Sudbury, as a place for mining and mineral investment.
"Whether you're in Balmertown or Brazil, mining jurisdictions everywhere share common issues and concerns," said Minister Rick Bartolucci in a news release. "Only by sharing information and exchanging views can we encourage the sustainability of our industry."
"There is no better venue than this to promote our jurisdiction as a progressive, preferred destination for investment in mineral development and to highlight the potential of Northern mining communities and institutions," Bartolucci said.
