The provincial government has announced a $150,000 development strategy designed to entice film producers to consider Northern Ontario as a shoot location for film and television projects.

The strategy will be spearheaded by Music and Film in Motion, a Sudbury-based not-for profit organization. It will create an inventory of music and film industry professionals, shooting locations and support services available in Northern Ontario.

"Our beautiful communities and landscapes, along with our wealth of talented professionals and performers have, for too long, been overlooked and underused by the industry," said Sudbury MPP Rick Bartolucci.
