Public Health Sudbury announces region’s 25th COVID-19 death

There have been 23 deaths since the start of 2021

Public Health Sudbury & Districts is reporting a COVID-19 related death in Greater Sudbury this afternoon. 

Out of respect, no further details will be provided, the health unit said.

This death will be included in Public Health’s daily update of COVID-19 case data at 4 p.m. today. A total of 25 deaths have now been reported across our service area since the beginning of the pandemic.

As of April 13, the Public Health Sudbury & Districts region counted 244 active cases being monitored.  Also, since the Public Health Sudbury and Districts (PHSD) began tracking COVID-19 cases just over one year ago, there have been 1,758 total COVID-19 cases confirmed locally.PHSD also said 1,514 of those cases have been resolved.
