Ernie Checkeris Public School (JK to Grade 3 - French Immersion)
Carl A. Nesbitt Public School (Grade 3 to Grade 8 - French Immersion)

Lesley Fisher has been appointed Principal of Carl A. Nesbitt Public School and Ernie Checkeris Public School. Fisher has been principal of Walden Public School for the past five years. A classroom teacher since 1993, Fisher taught a variety of grades in both the French Immersion and English programs prior to her appointment as a school administrator. Born and raised in New Sudbury, she is a graduate of Carl A. Nesbitt Public School and the Rainbow District School Board’s French Immersion program. Fisher looks forward to working with the community and the staff to promote ongoing excellence in both official languages.

Chris Bourré
Principal
Walden Public School (JK to Grade 6 - English and French Immersion)

Chris Bourré, the current Principal of Copper Cliff Public School, will become the principal of Walden Public School, which offers JK to Grade 6 education in English and French Immersion. Bourré has served as principal of Adamsdale Public School and Vice-Principal of Northeastern Elementary School. He was also a Lead Teacher at George Vanier Public School where he worked for four years. With 21 years of experience in elementary schools in Sudbury and Parry Sound, he has taught all grades in both the English and French Immersion programs. Bourré looks forward to working with students, staff, families and community partners in the community in which he lives.

Kendra Mihell
Principal
Copper Cliff Public School (JK to Grade 8 - English)

Kendra Mihell has been appointed principal of Copper Cliff Public School, which offers the English program from JK to Grade 8. Mihell has been the principal of S. Geiger Public School for the past six years and Webbwood Public School for the past four years. Mihell has taught primary, junior and intermediate students over the past 15 years. Prior to joining Rainbow District School Board in 2008, she was a Vice-Principal with the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board in Bancroft. Mihell looks forward to working with the Copper Cliff Public School team and community.

David Wiwchar
Principal
S. Geiger Public School (JK to Grade 8 - English)
Webbwood Public School (JK to Grade 8 - English)

David Wiwchar has been the vice-principal of Lively District Secondary School (Grade 7 to 12) for the past seven years. He will become the new principal of S. Geiger Public School and Webbwood Public School, which offer the English program in Kindergarten to Grade 8. David Wiwchar served as a science teacher and Vice-Principal at Lasalle Secondary School. He was Regional Environmental Education Lead for Northeastern Ontario and continues to provide leadership in environmental sustainability. Wiwchar looks forward to working with the S. Geiger Public School community in Massey and the Webbwood Public School community in Webbwood.
