The Rainbow District School Board will make its decision on which, if any, schools it will close three weeks later than originally planned.

The board was going to hold a special board meeting to decide accommodation review outcomes Tuesday, Jan. 17.

But parents pointed out this date falls close to secondary school exams, and could impact upon students.

So, during their Oct. 25 meeting, trustees agreed to change the date where it will decide accommodation review outcomes to Tuesday, Feb. 7. A time for that special board meeting has not yet been set.

“We were able to make a change because it doesn't affect the ARC process,” Rainbow board chair Doreen Dewar said.
