Random Acts of Kindness: She suffered a tragic loss, so we team up with her daughter to lighten her burden

Watch as we help Cindy out with her rent for our fifth day of kindness

Welcome to the fifth day of Sudbury.com’s Random Acts of Kindness, supported by @homeEnergy.

The year 2021 hasn’t been easy for anyone, but for Cindy Yensen, it’s been particularly challenging.

Cindy made coffee every morning for her husband, Rock Arsenault, for 25 years. But on July 25, he suddenly passed away, leaving an immense hole in Cindy’s life. Since Rock’s passing, it has been a difficult five months for Cindy. Not only was Rock the love of her life, he was also the sole earner in the house. So as Cindy struggles emotionally with his loss, she is also struggling financially.

Her daughter, Carrie Van Leeuwen, nominated Cindy in hopes that a random act of kindness will help lighten her burden, just a bit.

So today, we are surprising Cindy to lift her spirits for the holiday season.

Each weekday morning leading up to Christmas, Sudbury.com will recognize a deserving person, family or organization with a random act of kindness.

Visit Sudbury.com tomorrow morning again for another act of kindness.
