Recap: Here's how Lougheed was charged

The Sudbury byelection scandal has seen many twists and turns.

The latest came this morning, when the OPP announced it was charging Gerry Lougheed Jr. with one count of counselling an offence not committed and one count of unlawfully influencing or negotiating appointments for his involvement.

Last winter, former Liberal candidate Andrew Olivier announced at a news conference he was releasing recordings of a conversation he'd had with Lougheed. That conversation led to the charges mentioned above.
