Dr. Sergey Kalyuzhnyi, Director of Environmental Biotechnology at the Moscow State University in Moscow, Russia will present a talk entitled Â?Microbial Fuel CellsÂ? today in Room S-217 of Laurentian's Science Building at 12 noon.

In his presentation, Dr. Kalyuzhnyi will explain how biological systems can be utilized in the generation of green energy. Dr. Kalyuzhnyi is visiting Laurentian University on a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) - sponsored project that seeks to promote collaborative projects with scientists from non-NATO countries.
He is also collaborating with researchers at LU and the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle de Paris in an effort to redirect Russian military research towards civilian use.
