Rock City Auto Supplies Ltd. is again partnering with Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA) and Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS) to host the Tire Take Back collection event where all tire fees associated with each passenger, light truck and agricultural tire dropped off during business hours will be donated to The Sunshine Foundation.

More than 58,000 tires were collected last year across Ontario during the Tire Take Back events and more than $175,000 was raised, allowing the Sunshine Foundation to send children within its network on trips of a lifetime.

The collection site that brings in the most tires will be awarded a community prize of $15,000 in sustainable, recycled tire products for a local, non-profit project.

Tires can be dropped off at Rock City Auto Supplies Ltd., 1024 The Kingsway, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
