Organizers have planned a full day of events leading up to the parade at Market Square for Saturday, Nov. 19 from 2 to 5:30 pm. These include the Festival of Trees and a Santa Watch party.

Bob Fennell, organizing committee chair, says, ?The evening parade continues to grow each year as reflected in the increase in community support both through participation with entries, as well as through sponsorship.?

The biggest change in this year?s program is the parade route. It will follow Elm St., Durham St., Larch St., Minto St. and disperse at Elgin and MacKenzie.

There had been concerns about the previous parade route blocking entrance to St. Joesph?s Health Centre?s emergency department.

The parade will start at 5:30 pm.
