The scale at the Azilda landfill and waste diversion site has been replaced and is now fully operational.
City of Greater Sudbury landfill sites are licensed to accept non-hazardous solid waste.
This excludes any quantity of the following waste materials:
- dangerous, hazardous or toxic waste;
- pathological waste;
- manure;
- any waste in semi-liquid or liquid form;
- dead animals
- soil or granular materials
- asbestos waste
- waste generated from outside the boundaries of the City of Greater Sudbury;
- any other material evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Hours of operation for the winter are Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
