Shaft Bottom Boys break Guinness World Record with underground performance

Sudbury reinstated as host of the Deepest Underground Concert

Sudbury's Shaft Bottom Boys performed 6,200 below the surface in Creighton Mine Saturday, breaking the Guinness World Record for the Deepest Underground Concert.

This is the second time Sudbury has held the title of host, since Confed's Evolutionary band performed at the 3,400 level of Inco's Copper Cliff North in April 2007.

The performance was held in support of Science North's Science Camps and Miners for Cancer.

Those looking to show their support are asked to submit their donations by cheque, payable to Science North. All funds will be divided equally between the two causes.
