2nd annual Ball Drop Lottery raising funds for second therapeutic tub and reno

The second annual SISU Ball Drop Lottery kicked off this morning at Finlandia Village with a ceremonial ball drop.

This ball drop was for publicity; the next one is for cash.

Thanks to money raised from last year's golf ball drop, seniors at Finlandia Village can now enjoy a soak in a specialized therapeutic tub and upgraded tub room.

There are three additional tub rooms on the list for upgrade and this year's lottery will support the purchase of a second therapeutic tub and renovation.

"Bathing can often be one of the most difficult personal care activities that a senior can face," said Finlandia Village administrator Angela Harvey. "Our goal is to create a quality bathing spa in each home area to create a true home-like environment."

The SISU Ball Drop Lottery will take place May 11 at 1:30 p.m. on the grounds of Finlandia Village. The lucky ball that finds its way into the golf hole will win a cash prize of $10,000.

Tickets are $50 each and are available at Ramakko's Source for Adventure and Finlandia Village or by emailing [email protected].
