ICYMI: Sustaining a Sudbury jewel: Ramsey Lake watershed study:

The City of Greater Sudbury is moving forward with a study of water quality in Ramsey Lake through a provincially funded subwatershed study. The study is being carried out by Aquafor Beach and looks at everything from stormwater entering the lake to the historical industrial impacts of mining on the lake, to impacts of development around Ramsey Lake. Firebirds fly into the Nickel City:

Or maybe they take a bus...either way, the Flint Firebirds will faceoff with the Sudbury Wolves tonight at the Sudbury Arena for their one and only stop in the Nickel City this season. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. Be sure to check back with Sudbury.com this evening for a full game recap.

ICYMI: Wolves and Canadiens alumni square off at Sudbury Arena:

It was a rare sight at the Sudbury Arena on Thursday night as Wolves jerseys were significantly outnumbered by the jerseys of their opponent in the stands. The seats were filled with red jerseys as the Montreal Canadiens alumni took on the Sudbury Wolves alumni. Check out photos from the game here.

Filming on Durham Street could cause traffic delays on Monday:

Filming will take place on Monday, Dec. 12 from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. at 93 Durham Street. During this time, the sidewalk will be partially blocked off however surrounding businesses will remain open. Production vehicles and equipment will be parked in coned off areas along Larch Street between Durham and Elgin streets and on Durham Street north of Larch Street.
