Nine-year-old Evangelina Bovay-Larose had 14 inches of her hair chopped off on July 26 to donate to Angel Hair for Kids
It was more than two years since Evangelina got a haircut, and the youngster was excited to go with a shorter look for the summer.
“All of my friends were getting their hair cut and mine was still so long and it's hot in the summer,” she said.
Family friend Courtney Basso, owner of Courtney Cuts in Lively, was the one holding the scissors that chopped off Evangelina's 14 inch braid.
Evangelina will also be raising money in the coming month to support her mother and grandmother's Mudmoiselle team.
