Snow Day moving to James Jerome

Due to upcoming mild weather and unsuitable ice conditions on Ramsay Lake, Snow Day will now be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 6 at James Jerome complex. Free transit will be available to and from the Snow Day venue.

Due to upcoming mild weather and unsuitable ice conditions on Ramsay Lake, Snow Day will now be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 6 at James Jerome complex.

Free transit will be available to and from the Snow Day venue. Participants may download or print a voucher to show the bus operator when they board the bus. Vouchers will also be available at all public libraries.

Those who wish to drive to the venue are asked to park in the York Street parking lot and board the shuttle. Free sleds, helmets and equipment for activities will be available for loan at the gate. Limited parking will also be available at St. Denis elementary school.

Come out and enjoy snow shoeing, horse-drawn wagon, petting zoo, ice fishing, hiking, tipi storytelling, indigenous games and traditional foods with Shkagamik-Kwe Health Centre. Warm up tents and healthy snacks will also be provided.

The Healthy Kids Community Challenge is a key part of Ontario's Healthy Kids Strategy, a cross-government initiative launched to promote children's health focusing on: healthy start, healthy food, and healthy active communities.
