Despite cold temperatures, Greater Sudbury snowmobilers hit the trails this past Saturday, for the 31st Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids, and raised more than $17,000 for children with physical disabilities.

"The support we had for our Snowarama was amazing," said Easter Seals Kids' district manager Lisa Lounsbury in a news release. "We had over 50 snowmobilers participate in this year's ride."

Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids was the brainchild of Whipper Billy Watson, and started 12 events on communities across Ontario, raising more than $130,000 in its first year. Since 1975, more than $15 million has been raised.
