Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Greater Sudbury and vicinity for Monday through Tuesday.

Monday is likely, to begin with, snow amounting to 2 centimetres and a wind chill of -30.

Snow will continue overnight and before tapering off Tuesday. The snow is expected to be particularly heavy in some areas, forcing them to issue a snowfall warning closer to the event.

A general snowfall of 8 to 12 centimetres is expected by the time it winds down on Tuesday.

Deteriorating winter travel conditions can be expected with snow-covered roads and reduced visibility in falling snow.

Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
