Special Weather Statement in effect for Greater Sudbury and vicinity

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Greater Sudbury and vicinity for Monday through Tuesday. A general snowfall of 8 to 12 centimetres is expected by the time it winds down on Tuesday. Deteriorating winter travel conditions can be expected with snow-covered roads and reduced visibility in falling snow.

Sudbury Police, OPP embrace the giving season at Cops for Christmas Food Bank Drive

On Saturday, Dec. 9, members from the Sudbury OPP Auxiliary Unit hosted the annual Cops for Christmas Food Bank Drive event at Vrab's Independent Grocer at the Four Corners. The event was held to meet the needs of the Sudbury Food Bank throughout the holiday season. OPP Auxiliary members collected non-perishable food items and monetary donations while bagging groceries for customers. Click here for more 

Two break and enter just five minutes apart in Minnow Lake area on Friday night

 Greater Sudbury police are urging residents to lock doors not only for their cars but also their residences following a slew of break and enters in the Minnow Lake area. Charges have been laid against 25-year-old Sudbury man pertaining to two related offences on Friday night. Click here to read more
