This year’s Christian Unity Events a time of awakening, learning and growing:

A series of events that will begin Jan. 17 focuses on uniting Christians of different faith traditions. All are welcome to attend celebrations during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which runs until Jan. 23, 2018. For details click here 

Vagnini re-elected as chair of police board:

The police board have re-elected some familiar faces during the board's monthly meeting on Thursday. Ward 2 Coun. Michael Vagnini and Ward 3 Coun. Gerry Montpellier, were re-elected as chair and vice-chair respectively of the Greater Sudbury Police Services Board. For more on the story click here 

Project Impact gives telltales signs of human trafficking:

The sale and exploitation of human beings is not just an international concern; it affects communities like Greater Sudbury as well. This is evident in the number of sex trafficking victims Greater Sudbury Police Service's Vice and Gang Unit interacted with last year. An awareness campaign initiated by  Greater Sudbury Police Service wants to arm you with tools to prevent human sex trafficking. To learn about the signs click here

Teen steals gas to fill stolen car:

A Sudbury teen has been charged with varying theft charges after he was found in a stolen vehicle and in possession of stolen credit cards. For the details on this story click here 

Unity meets strategy at the Northern Game Design Challenge (NGDC):

At 5 p.m. Sunday, 27 teams wrapped up 48-hour game design challenge held at Dynamic Earth.The event was back for the third year and delivered tripple the fun and creativity as it could in 48 hours. Wolves line breaks in third period against Steelheads:

The Sudbury Wolves were coming off a 10-1 loss in Barrie Thursday night and while the Wolves rebounded nicely, an entertaining game turned into a tough final period with a 6-3 loss to Mississauga. With the loss, Sudbury falls to 11-25-6-0, now nine points out of a playoff spot, with 26 games to go and a rash of changes according to head coach Stillman. For more on this story click here
