Special delivery for LTC residents: Sudbury students make Valentine’s Day sweeter

They aimed to ‘spread friendship and joy’ through project

Students at a couple of local schools made Valentine’s Day sweeter for local long-term care residents by sending them cards to mark the special day.

Collège Notre-Dame students fabricated some 720 Valentine’s Day cards for the residents of Extendicare York.

“Once again, Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury) students have proven that they care a great deal, have a heart of gold, and wish to make a difference in the lives of the citizens of their community!” said a press release from Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon.

“Through this great project, the CND students were able to spread friendship and joy in the community and touch the hearts of many Sudbury residents and families.”

Princess Anne Public School students also took part in a similar project, making homemade Valentine’s Day cards for the residents at Finlandia Village.
