Youth swarmed the streets of downtown Sudbury looking for garbage during the  Downtown Spring Clean Sweep April 29.
The volunteer-driven event, run by Downtown Sudbury and Sudbury Action Centre for Youth, focused on the major streets of the downtown core.
The participating youth picked up garbage and cleared off the many outdated posters from street poles in the area.
The event was originally scheduled to run April 22, but was moved forward one week due to weather conditions.
"We really appreciate all the hard work that these young volunteers are doing to make the city cleaner for all," said Maureen Luoma, executive director of Downtown Sudbury.
Participants received goodie bags from Rexall Pharmacies for their efforts.
