St. Joseph’s Foundation hosted their annual gala dinner and dance on Oct. 22 at the Caruso Club in Sudbury.

The gala event was attended by more than 300 guests who indulged in wonderful food, and were treated to live music to dance the night away.

The elegant event created memories of an enchanting evening spent in the spirit of giving.

“Due to the generosity of the many sponsors, donors and attendees, this year’s event raised $100,000 which will go toward the purchase of new furnishings for St. Joseph’s Villa” said Melanie Kanerva, St. Joseph’s Foundation Chair.

“Our gratitude is sincerely extended to all those who gave of their time and money.”

St. Joseph’s Villa is a 128-bed long-term care home located on South Bay Road. It opened in 2003 and has been home to hundreds of residents over the past 13 years.
“The current furnishings are worn and need to be replaced.  New furnishings will certainly enhance the home-like environment and ensure the safety of our residents” said administrator Jo-Anne Palkovits.

"The Co-Chairs would like to thank everyone for their kind contributions and for spending an evening with them," said a news release from St. Joseph's Health Centre.

"They look forward to seeing you at the next gala taking place on Oct. 21, 2017!"
