Residents of St. Joseph's are now able to take a stroll down memory lane without leaving the long-term care facility.

A collection of about 20 historic photos of Sudbury and surrounding areas has been hung in the Garden Way area at St. Joseph's Villa.

The “Memory Lane” project was supported by local community historian Ray Thoms, who provided the photos, as well as by Union Gas, which provided a $1,000 cheque from its Community Improvement Grant.

“The collection has provided the residents of Garden Way with a more meaningful walk throughout their day as well as opportunity to reminiscence on days gone by,” said a press release from St. Joseph's Villa.

“Our gratitude is extended to both Union Gas and Mr. Ray Thoms for making this project a meaningful addition to the daily experience of our residents.”
