Stack Brewing and Up Here have renewed their partnership for this year's festival, bringing 4Up to festival-goers as the official beer of Up Here.

There was no official Stack brew for year three of the festival in 2017, after back to back years of Stack producing a special beer just for the festival.

It's the same beer that Up Here veterans will remember from 1Up and 2Up, and Stack sales and events manager Ashley McCarvell says it's a great summertime beer to enjoy at a music and arts festival.

"It's nice and tropical, very light and crisp with a golden blonde colour," said McCarvell. "It's exactly what you'd want from a beer when it's 30 degrees outside and you need something refreshing."

The 4.5% beer will be available at all licensed downtown establishments in cans, and on tap at Stack's bar location on Durham Street.

The partnership between Stack and Up Here is one that is valued on both sides, and Up Here co-founder Christian Pelletier says that the relationship is one that formed organically.

"Stack came on board with us in the first year and we're one of the only festivals where they get involved to this level," said Pelletier. "We're serving exclusively Stack and their product is great and they make a beer for us. They also supply all the beer for artist hospitality, so all the artists from out of town, it's a lot of beer when you think about it but they've been awesome."

Building community partnerships is something that the staff at Stack stands firmly behind.

"A lot of this is to support our friends and to support Sudbury," said McCarvell. "It's always nice to be able to build these partnerships, we're always looking to put out new beers and for opportunities to launch them."

If you're heading to Up Here this year, be sure to grab yourself a can of 4Up, as it's only for sale during the festival and the brew won't return until next year, with 5Up.
