Steelworkers, Glencore reach tentative collective agreement

Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations, a Glencore company, has reached a tentative agreement for a new collective agreement with the United Steelworkers Local 2020, Unit 6855, which represents office, clerical and technical employees.

The prior agreement was to expire on Feb. 28

The union's negotiations team has unanimously recommended acceptance of the new agreement.

Details of the agreement will be presented to union members and will be followed by a ratification vote.

“We are pleased that the Company and the Union have reached a tentative agreement, especially at a time of ongoing market uncertainty,” said Peter Xavier, Vice President of Sudbury INO.
