A collapsed storm drain is affecting traffic Saturday in the city's West End.

In a news release, Greater Sudbury said two westbound lanes on Lorne Street between Regent and Haig streets will be closed until further notice due to the collapse of the storm drain.

“Eastbound traffic lanes are maintained, and the centre turning lane has been converted into a westbound traffic lane while repairs are underway,” the release said.

Repairs are expected to take until Monday.

“The city thanks residents and motorists for their patience,” the release said.
