With Premier Kathleen Wynne speaking this morning at the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities Conference at the Holiday Inn on Regent Street, striking public school teachers are protesting outside of the venue.

Members of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF) went on strike in Greater Sudbury April 27. OSSTF members in Peel and Durham are also on the picket lines.

The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (ETFO) also recently announced they'll take strike action as of May 11.

The union hasn't yet indicated what that strike action will entail. An announcement is expected on Friday.
