Students from Lasalle Secondary School will be going door-to-door on Sept. 19 from 4-9 p.m., to promote their upcoming Family Walk fundraising event and invite residents to support health and wellness at Finlandia Village.

Greater Sudbury Police Chief Paul Pedersen and Logan Stutz, head coach of the Sudbury Five, will be leading the fourth annual Lasalle Secondary School SISU Family Walk in partnership with Sling-Choker Sept. 21.

The six-kilometre walk will depart from Lasalle Secondary School shortly after 11 a.m. and finish at Finlandia Village.

Funds raised will be allocated towards the development of a fully-accessible trail system around the property, including self-directed exercise stops and additional outdoor equipment to enhance the physical benefits of exercise, said a press release.

“At Lasalle Secondary School, we are committed to promoting lifelong health and wellness,” said Maureen McNamara, principal of Lasalle Secondary School. “We also take pride in supporting our seniors and the community in which we live.”

“We invite everyone to come show their SISU and join us in our efforts by making a donation and/or participating in the walk.”
