The Stuff a School Bus initiative during New Sudbury Days last month brought in $1,214.70 and 1,041 food items for the Sudbury Food Bank.

Northway Bus Lines provided a mini school bus from Aug 24 to Aug 28 to collect back to school lunch items for the Sudbury Food Bank.

Tara Lee Savard, one of Northway Bus Lines employees, volunteered her time to make sure the bus was at the locations of many events happening around New Sudbury.

The bus was parked at Metro, Food Basics and Superstore from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 24–26, before New Sudbury Days got underway.

It was then parked at Ridgecrest Park Aug. 27 for the free pancake breakfast sponsored by A&W on Lasalle.

The bus was moved to the New Sudbury Shopping Centre Aug. 27-28, then proceeded to all the major New Sudbury Days events happening at various venues.
