Students of Canadian Showcase will perform An Evening in Paris at the Sudbury Theatre Centre tonight, Thursday and Saturday.

Gerry Gauvreau, artistic director for Canadian Showcase, explains the styling of show is similar to what one might see at the Moulin Rouge.

This week?s performances are just the beginning.

?We will performing ?An Evening in Paris? in France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy in June of next year,? says Gauvreau.

More than 60 cast members have been practising since November for opening night.

And despite the recent death of Albert Gauvreau, stage manager and honorary grandfather to those who study at Gauvreau Studios, the show must go on.

?The show will go on,? Gauvreau commented. ?If anything, it may add a little bit of passion to the performance.?

Tickets for the show are $20 for the Wednesday and Thursday evening and $25 for Saturday evening. For more information, phone 673-1184.
