The Sudbury Indie Cinema has announced they are hosting a one-time screening in Sudbury of the new Nick Cave / Warren Ellis music documentary, This Much I Know To Be True, on May 11 at 6:30 p.m. as part of the global release.

Shot on location in London & Brighton, Andrew Dominik’s feature documentary is said to capture Nick Cave and Warren Ellis’ exceptional creative relationship as they bring to life the songs from their last two studio albums, Ghosteen (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds) and Carnage (Nick Cave & Warren Ellis).

In this documentary of their first ever performance of these albums, filmed in spring 2021 ahead of their UK tour, audiences see the two accompanied by singers and string quartet, as they “nurture each song into existence” said a press release from the Indie.

The film also features a special appearance by close friend and long-time collaborator, Marianne Faithful.

Tickets are $15 and are available at the Indie Box Office or online by clicking here.
