Four Sudbury paramedics cycled from Toronto to Ottawa to raise funds for a national memorial for those paramedics who have been killed in the line of duty and to raise awareness for PTSD in Paramedics.

Jennifer Hamilton (Manitoulin Paramedic) Annik Thibeault, Nathan Ryan and Blaise Quenneville all made the 525 km trek and were joined on Parliament Hill by Nickel Belt MP Marc Serré.

These four riders were grouped in with more than 100 other Ontario paramedics and bicycled from Yonge and Dundas in Toronto to Parliament Hill in Ottawa. The ride was completed over four days, the longest leg being completed between Port Hope and Kingston.

Before parading through Ottawa to Parliament Hill under police escort, the Ontario riders met in Gatineau, Que. with the Quebec riders and an estimated total of more than 220 riders were welcomed by spectators, supporters, and a Paramedic Honour Guard.

The Paramedic Memorial Ride is completed to raise funds to build a national Paramedic Memorial in remembrance to those civilian and military Paramedics who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
