All pledges and proceeds from the event support the Canadian Diabetes Association and help make strides in diabetes research.
Sudbury Rocks has raised just under $350,000 for diabetes research since it started in 2005.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service has advised motorists downtown traffic will be impacted by the races.

All events will be held between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Roadways included in the course are Elgin Street, Notre Dame, Lasalle Boulevard, Attlee, Gemmell, Falconbridge Highway, Second Avenue, Bancroft and Howey Drive.

Hundreds of runners will fill the streets during this race. Various lanes of traffic will be sectioned off with pylons and police personnel will be stationed along the route to direct traffic.
