Sudbury will host Canadian launch of Canada-Finland book

The Canadian Finnish Institute will welcome two Ambassadors to Sudbury this weekend, as it hosts the official Canadian launch of "Canada-Finland: Celebrating 2017" - a commemorative book project initiated by the Embassy of Canada in recognition of Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation and Finland’s 100th anniversary of Independence. 

Huntington University and the Canadian Finnish Institute are both major sponsors of this national initiative. 
 
The book was unveiled in Finland at the Canadian Embassy earlier this year, in March, and On Saturday, June 17 the book will be officially launched in Canada. The event will take place at Natura by Ristorante Verdicchio (1351 Kelly Lake Rd.) 

Special guests will include His Excellency Vesa Lehtonen, Ambassador of Finland to Canada and his wife Pirjetta Mannien, as well Mrs. Andrée Noëlle Cooligan, Ambassador of Canada to Finland.
