Sudbury: you can help support Zawadi la Tumaini

Suzanne Harvey and her family will be raising funds for Zawadi la Tumaini Children's Home during a barbecue fundraiser and yard sale this weekend. The event will be held June 21-22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lansdowne Public School at 185 Lansdowne St.

Suzanne Harvey and her family will be raising funds for Zawadi la Tumaini Children's Home during a barbecue fundraiser and yard sale this weekend.

The event will be held June 21-22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lansdowne Public School at 185 Lansdowne St.

Located in Nairobi, Kenya, the children's home is funded solely by private donations and fundraisers such as these. Pictures and other information about the orphanage will also be available.

Bring gently used items to donate and be prepared to buy new treasures.
