Sudbury.com claims title of best community website at OCNA awards

Top honour also awarded for best sports section

Northern Life/Sudbury.com has once again claimed the title as best community website in Ontario for members of the Ontario Community Newspaper Association's Better Newspaper Competition.

Northern Life/Sudbury.com has once again claimed the title as best community website in Ontario in the Ontario Community Newspaper Association's Better Newspaper Competiton.

Sudbury.com won the award in the circulation over 10,000 category, beating out the Toronto Canadian Jewish News in second and the Elmira-Woolwich Observer in third.

Northern Life/Sudbury.com also claimed the award for best sports section, beating out the Brant News in second and the Elmira-Woolwich Observe in third.

Sudbury.com took third place in a new category this year, ONLINE special project/event/breaking news coverage, for its coverage of the manhunt and arrest of a Wahnapitae shooter in August last year. 

Northern Life and Sudbury.com managing editor Mark Gentili took third place in the Columnist of the Year category, and Northern Life got an honourable mention for best editorial with a circulation over 10,000.
