Sudbury's super pup, Lottie, is soaring to new heights.

The 3-year-old border collie, who is best known for her high-flying tricks and viral BFF hugging video, is heading to the Frisbee World Championship in Tennessee next week.

Lottie's owner and trainer, Taylor Duguay, said she's excited but also nervous to be one of 20 teams representing Canada.

"As far as canine disc, it's the largest competition in the world." Duguay said.

"There are some amazing players just here in Ontario and I can only imagine my competition will be stiff when compared to so many countries."

Besides training hard for the upcoming championships, Lottie has enjoyed some time in the spotlight this year.

Lottie landed a role in the television series "Amelie et Compagnie", which is filmed in Sudbury. The show will air on Télévision française de l'Ontario (TFO) in 2017. As well as a role in a short film by Sheila McCarthy.

Back in April, Lottie and her furry best friend Grizzly where featured in People Magazine.

"I couldn't be more proud of such a young dog." Duguay said.

"She's accomplished more than I could've ever hoped.

I believe that no matter where we are in the standings, we have accomplished so much just by making it there.

My main focus is to have as much fun as Lottie does when we play and I'm sure we'll do fine."

Does your pup like to catch frisbees? Lottie and Duguay are inviting anyone who'd like to learn more about the sport to join them as they practice some tricks on Wednesdays at the Howard Armstrong Centre in Hanmer.
