Learn to relieve stress, build self-esteem and live a healthier lifestyle June 22 at the Summer Lovin Ladies Night.

The event, taking place from 6-10 p.m. at the Lexington Hotel, is in support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Two-time national boxing champion Amber Konikow will give an inspirational talk.  There will also be light refreshments, a cash bar, door prizes, and a silent auction.

This past February, Heart & Stroke released its 2018 Heart Report, called Ms. Understood. Some of their findings in the study included that heart disease is the leading cause of premature death for women in Canada.

Five times as many women will die from heart disease as breast cancer. The early heart attack signs were missed in 78 per cent of women and two thirds of the clinical research focuses on men.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation has started an initiative to help save women’s lives called #timetoseered. Learn more on Heart & Stroke's website.

Tickets to the Summer Lovin Ladies Night cost $50. Phone Linda at 705-585-4777, or email [email protected].
