If you're up to doing a bit of shopping today, you might want to stop by the New Sudbury Centre.
In a bit of a surprise, Sunrise Records opened today in the former HMV location. The Ontario-based music retail chain announced back in March that it would move into 70 retail spaces being vacated by HMV Canada, which went into receivership.
Sunrise Records will also be moving into the Northgate Shopping Centre in North Bay, the Station Mall in Sault Ste. Marie and the Intercity Shopping Centre in Thunder Bay.
Meanwhile, two stores formerly housed inside the New Sudbury Centre have opened next door, in the building that formerly held Future Shop, until it closed in March of 2015.
Dollarama and Ardene are now sharing that building. Both stores are now open.
Happy shopping.
